Quill by Hridya overview
Quill is a Markdown editor for the Mac where an AI agent edits the document you are writing. Hold a key, say what to change, and Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent rewrites the note in front of you. Deleted text stays visible, new text appears in place, and you keep or revert each change.

- A window for any folder: press ⌘O, drop a folder on the Dock icon, or run quill . in a terminal. The co-writer uses that folder as its context.
- Obsidian syntax: callouts, embeds of notes, headings and images, properties, math, comments and block ids.
- Mermaid diagrams draw as you type.
- Hanging indents for wrapped lines in lists, quotes and callouts.
Improved
- In a 92,000-character note, a keystroke takes 1.6 ms instead of 2.8 ms.
- Big folders stay responsive while Quill finds notes in the background.
